How does the Springlea online reservation system work?
Please visit our Bookings page and from there, send through a booking enquiry to our booking officer. The booking officer will make a tentative reservation for you and you will then receive an email with a link to our secure payment webpage. Payment via credit card (Visa or Mastercard) is required within 10 days of making the reservation. The reservation is confirmed upon payment and you will then receive a confirmation email with your booking details. For additional information please see our Booking conditions page. What if I need to cancel my holiday?
If you need to cancel, please notify our booking officer as soon as possible. The earlier you cancel, the greater your refund. Please see our Booking conditions page for full details. We recommend you take out travel insurance when booking your holiday because it is generally inexpensive and offers valuable piece of mind.
How do I receive my holiday confirmation and details of the key code?
On payment, our booking officer will email you the details of your booking and instructions for your arrival, including the key code for the front door.
What time can I check in to Springlea and when do I check out?
Please check in after 4pm. On the day of your departure you are asked to vacate the house by 2pm.
What does my accommodation include?
Please refer to our Accommodation page for information about our rooms and to view floor plans. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms with a toilet, shower and hand basin. Each room has wardrobe/hanging rails for clothing.
Do I bring my own linen?
Yes, at Springlea you will need to bring your own sheets (flat and fitted) and pillow cases, bath towels and face washers. Bath mats and tea towels are stocked. If you wish to check the sheet size you will need for your room please see our Accommodation page.
Do you have any facilities/equipment for infants?
A highchair and port-a-cot are available on request. Please check availability when you make your booking to ensure they are available for your stay. Or you can bring your own if you prefer.
Do you have laundry facilities?
Yes, Springlea has a laundry and washing powder is available.
Do I have to clean my room?
Yes, please clean your room before you leave at the end of your stay so that it’s ready for other guests. You are expected to leave the house in a clean state ready for the next guests. Springlea has a vacuum in Room D in a storage cupboard. If you have any questions please ask our booking officer.
Do I need to empty rubbish bins?
Yes. Instructions for when to put bins out at Springlea are on a noticeboard in the entrance area.
Bin liners are kept in the cupboard next to the bin. Of course, our managers will also help with this task.
Does Springlea have Internet facilities?
Yes, we have wifi at Springlea for the convenience of our guests. Password details are posted in the house. You are also welcome to bring your own Internet cable to plug directly into several Internet outlets throughout the lodge.
Can I smoke at Springlea?
Springlea is a smoke-free environment. Please only smoke outside and always bin your butts – don’t rubbish our beautiful coastal environments.
Is there a kid’s playroom or games room?
Some board games and DVDs are available in the house. Springlea has 3 separate living areas – so plenty of room for the kids to play in a separate area.
Are there any banking facilities near Springlea?
Westpac & CBA ATMs are a few minutes walk in the shopping area
Is there access to medical services?
Lorne has an emergency department at its public hospital which is only a few minutes away.
